Coopers Farm Cottage Access Statement
Coopers Farm is a 100 acre working farm with cattle, sheep, pigs and hens. The cottage is found in the middle of the farm yard which is located at the bottom of a track. There is an electronic gate part way down the track which opens automatically between 7am and 7pm. After 7pm you will need to punch in a code (sent with the welcome letter) on a keypad about 1 metre off the ground on the drivers side.
The Cooopers Cottage website is very comprehensive with many photos of the farm, cottage and facilities.
Reservations are normally made online on our website or by phone.
Confirmations are made by email or if preferred by letter.
Maps, directions and check-in details are included in the welcome letter/email issued when final payment is made.
Details of pre-arrival shopping services and local pub reservations are also included on the welcome email/letter.
There is a flat area of concrete car parking apprx 5m from the cottage reserved exclusively for our visiting guests. It is possible to park right outside the cottage for picking up and dropping off.
The cottage has external lighting which illuminates the car park area and can be switched on inside the kitchen door.
The cottage is a listed building – it was converted from an old dairy – so we have been limited in terms of what has been possible.
There are two entrance doors both with a width of more than 80 cm with 5cm threshold plates. From the outside one has two steps up into the kitchen and the other has a ramp into the sitting room. The same key operates both.
The main living area, kitchen hall and utility with a loo is on one level with no thresholds between different areas. From the hall there is a staircase with standard steps to the first floor. Both bedrooms, the bathroom and a second loo are on the first floor. The bathroom has a standard bath with shower over All light switches are standard height (approx 1.2m from the floor).
